CITY CONSTRUCTS

City Constructs is a photographic series exploring the relationship between people, place, and architecture, and how cities are shaped through movement, function, and experience.

Each work is built from numerous photographs taken during my travels, brought together to construct imagined cities. Within these layered compositions, architecture sits alongside the passage of people, crowds, and the flow of urban space. Buildings and infrastructure are not isolated subjects, but part of a wider system shaped by human presence and activity.

The series brings together fragments from different cities, times, and locations, weaving them into cohesive yet distorted urban environments. These constructed cityscapes reflect the balance between design and use, where architectural form and the rhythm of daily life exist side by side.

What emerges is a reimagining of the city as both structure and behaviour, where space is constantly negotiated between people and the environments they move through.
