Tom Leighton: City Constructs Artwork Sales
City Constructs brings together images across several related bodies of work, each composed of hundreds of individual elements drawn from different cities, landscapes, and architectural environments. Every component within the works is photographed by Tom during his travels, before being carefully and meticulously constructed into layered compositions that explore distorted perceptions of time and place.
These works sit at the intersection of contemporary photographic practice and digital construction, where urban environments are reinterpreted through accumulated experience rather than a single viewpoint. Buildings, streets, and spatial fragments are reassembled into new visual structures, forming imagined cities that reflect both movement through place and the memory of it.
Artworks from these editions have been exhibited internationally and are held within significant private and institutional collections. These include the AT&T Corporate Collection (USA), ING Group (London), Kunsthalle Weishaupt Collection (Germany), MuCEM – the French National Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations, UBS Art Collection (London), UCLH (London), and William Blair (Chicago and London), among others.
Each work is produced as a strictly limited edition, with only a small number of works available in total. Every edition includes all available sizes, ensuring consistency and exclusivity across the series.
